Sixteen players remained at the start of Day 4 of the World Poker Tour Jacksonville BestBet Open as players prepared to play down to the final table. At the head of the pack was Will “the Thrill” Failla, winner of the WPT Legends of Poker earlier this season.
Farid Jattin, who had lead the field earlier in the event was the first elimination of the day, followed by Justin Conley, David Tuthill, Tony Parille, Robert LeBeau, and Peter Campo. The remaining ten players combined to one table to play down to the six-handed official final table. Blake Purvis and Matt Marafioti finished 10th and 9th, with the elimination of Marafioti securing the lead in the Player of the Year race for Failla.
Amelio Amato and Bryon Kaverman were the next to go, setting the official final table and ending play for the day. When players return, Shawn Cunix will hold the chiplead with 2,770,000, followed by James Calderaro with 2,110,000. Failla and Dunsts sit with 1,535,000 and 1,315,000 respectively, followed by Darren Elias with 1,280,000 and Daniel Buzgon pulling up the rear with 570,000.
