Farid Jattin Leads After Day 2 of the WPT Jacksonville BestBet Open

The World Poker Tour Jacksonville BestBet Open began last week with 320 players putting up $5,000 each for a chance at their share of a $1,504,000 prize pool. At the beginning of Day 2 there were 160 players left in the field, each hoping to make it through the day and into the final 36 paid positions. But when play ended for the day, 55 players still remained, meaning no one had yet locked up any winnings.

But if anyone can be sure that they will make it into the money, it’s Farid Jattin who leads the pack with 718,000 in chips. When play resumes on Day 3, you can bet Jattin will have his eyes focused on the $400,600 top prize. It won’t be easy though, as the rest of the field will be equally determined to make their way to the top.

Darren Elias, who began the day as chip leader, bagged 636,000 in chips at the end of the day, putting him just behind Jattin on the leader board. Other notables still in the field include Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler with 123,000 and WPT Raw Deal Host Tony “Bond18” Dunst with 169,000.
