Monday Menace tour finished

[s]gg_tour[/s]

Today yet another Starcraft tournament was hosted by GosuGamers. The sun was shining outside my window pretty much all the time. Except for that everything went on just as usual.

More than 100 people were registered for the tournament a few minutes before the confirmation started. When the brackets finally were published a number of 45 players had confirmed their participation and were included in the tournament. Sadly, many of the ones not living in the CET time zone mistook the time and didn't confirm. We'll try to be more clear on times in the future.

Clawson showing skill

There were some games where latency problems almost forced a coin flipping decide the outcome. Luckily it was solved after some time. The more well known players quickly advanced in the brackets, and we could see two semifinals. Spain -=ALFA=- (picture) played versus Finland uT)Clawson and Denmark X-japan (more known as Smeagol) faced Poland vA)Kruks.

The final was a Nordic battle between Clawson and Smeagol.

Replays

The replays from the tournament can be downloaded » here. Most games are pretty standard. The best one in this match series would be game number two, I suppose. A Protoss versus Terran on Estrella.

Interview after the win

I catched Clawson and asked him some questions after his usual tournament win cigarette.
8604cb5cf5c4b125fc3b06c32ad5aad91b63e32d0f33fa0a035923c85fHello Clawson, congratulations to your win in the GosuGamers Monday Menace tour.
Thanks a lot! :P

What do you think of the competition today? Any troubles on your way to the top position?
No it was really easy. ;D I thought ALFA would be better competion than he performed today. :P I didnt use protoss until the finals. :)

Oh, you didn't? Felt confident anyway?
Heh, of course! :P I was mainly playing this for fun didnt inted to win, was going to quit during tournament but my friend said he didn't want to go drinking so... Just kept playing. :)

In the finals you played X-Japan. He surprised a bit by beating several well known players. Did you know he is more known as Smeagol?
I found that out during the games... Game 2 if I remember correctly. He's just another bad mannered punk as he always has been, was not giving me hard time beating his ass.

In pretty much every GosuGamers tournament or other event you have been participating you have won. Do you usually feel very confident when it comes to playing in events?
Well, events are more serious than fun playing for me... (daa?) I wouldn't say I feel more confident, I always feel confident if I havent f.e: just woken up or very sleepy anyways. :P But..., more serious.

What is your favourite color?
No bloody clue! ;D I think I had blue as a favourite color... Like 5 years ago... Don't really know now. :P

Thank you very much for your valuable time. Any shoutouts?
To ArjiaNN: I LOVE YOU BABYYYYYYYYYYYYy

Good luck in future events!
Thanks! :P Bye!

More tournaments coming up

For you who couldn't participate this time - don't worry. More chances will come. We'll make sure to be more clear on the times in other time zones.

Everything went fine, just as usual. There were no real mishappenings. Some player have to remember to report their losses though. Thanks to everyone for participating and a great applause for Finland Matti "Clawson" Punkari for yet another win in a GosuGamers tournament.
