Next week's Thursday (21st) the toughest and most prestigious clanleague with the world's best clans out there starts. It is a total of 12 teams, who all look very interesting and pumped to the max for the new season. Yesterday, the schedule was announced at WC3L.com.

WC3L, hosted by Electronic Sports League, is no doubt the Champion's League in WarCraft 3. Is the biggest, most prestigious, rewarding and media covered clanleague in WarCraft history. After a long qualification period, all 12 teams are in, and the WC3L administration have just announced the schedule with all the playdays. 11 playdays in total, meaning we will see a number of 66 hot matches in this league before it is time for the offline finals.

The battlefield opens 21st of July

4kings.jpgJust yesterday, the WC3L administration announced the first playday matches, and they definitely look interesting. Last year's champions United Kingdom 4Kings.Intel looks stronger than ever, as their top players just won the two most important tournaments a couple of days ago. France 4K.ToD won the CPL Summer 2005, and Netherlands 4K.Grubby took home the ESWC 2005 tournament. They go up against Europe mYm.Hanbit, who also looks strong, with some new Korean recruits they can really match with the best.

Qualified good game and Clan´IT in the first round

Another interesting match is the the one between the two teams France good game and Norway Incredible Teamaction, who both reached the WC3L VIII via the qualifier. Newcomers are often very hungry and eager to win, and even if they maybe don't have as many top players as the other teams, it will still be an interesting fight.

WC3L Season VIII Playday 1

United Kingdom 4Kings.Intel vs. Europe mYm.Hanbit
France good game vs. Norway Incredible Teamaction
Germany mTw.ATI vs. Poland Team Pentagram
Germany Mousesports.BenQvs. United States RSGaming
Europe fnatic vs. Europe Play.it
Europe SK Gaming vs. Sweden plan-B Sweden

4x1on1 and 1x2on2

By removing one 2on2 match and replacing it with another 1on1 match, some teams might be a bit stronger, and some a bit worse. Now the 1on1 players have even more pressure on them, and you can see that the teams have filled up with the very best 1on1 players to bring home the matches. The team managers still have a couple of days to recruit new players. The deadline for new recruits is Wednesday, July 20th 23:59 CET.

GosuBets for the matches

It is of course our intention to have GosuBets for all the WC3L matches. As soon as the match date and time is confirmed, you will be able to vote for your favoured team. If you are unkeen on how the GosuBet works, read » this newspost.
