Acathla is a Starcraft MOD, based on the the warcraft3 engine and the fan fiction of the author abriko that bares the same name. If you include the first paragraph of prose and the first pieces of concept art, this project has been alive around five years.
Boué Maxime, aka
abriko has been working for approximately 5 years on the Fan fiction series called "ACATHLA." He has created a Starcraft universe of his own, with new heroes, a new independent story line and a wealth of concept art. We find it hard to believe that just one guy has been able to do everything pretty much by himself. It truly makes us think that our own passion for Starcraft is nothing compared to his. Now he is creating a whole new Starcraft MOD using the Warcraft 3 engine.
This would make it the second large scale such MOD currently in process, the other being » Project Revolution. It is amazing how this game refuses to leave us, and it just simply keeps growing in us, until we simply make it part of our lives. When we see such concept art and read such stories we are left wondering if this game will ever end for real. We have chosen only two pieces of his concept art to share with all, he has however much better ones that we may publish as future as POTD.
