Former players from North are starting a new Danish CS:GO team

A new roster is set to be built up from the ashes of the Danish group North, who dissolved due to the pandemic.

The team might be new, but the roster is packed with experienced players, thanks to the big names listed in the line-up.

Denmark has many talented players, so it is not a surprise that many free players from the country will convene together to create a new team. Nicklas “Gade” Gade and Philip “aizy” Aistrup are reuniting with Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye, who was benched from his position in FaZe Clan earlier this year. They will be joined with Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen, currently with BLUEJAYS, and Johannes “b0RUP” Borup, who was with Heroic.

The biggest problem for the team right now is to find an organization to back this group of players. At the same time, Kjaerbye, b0RUP and Fessor are all still under contract with their respective squads, and aizy’s status is still up in the air.

When asked by 1pv and HLTV, Gade said that

Since North ceased operations I had been talking back and forth with kjaerbye and aizy. Talking about how we wanted to reunite and build a new team. Right now it's about developing and performing so that we can have a breakthrough into the scene.

We will have to wait and see if any fishes will bite on the bait, as the current economic and global pandemic situation is are not the best for any organization looking to break new teams into the esports arena.
