HappyFeet upset the SEA region to clinch the spot in ESL One Hamburg 2017 after wiping out Clutch Gamers 3:0 in the Grand Finals.
While Team Liquid, The International 2017 champions, and Newbee, the TI7 runner up team, were directly invited to the main event - the other six teams were left to battle it out for a place among the world's best on the stage in Germany. Three days ago Keen Gaming bested some of the most skilled Chinese teams for their spot. Today, the Filipino squad, Happy Feet were added to the mix as the fourth team.
Happy Feet were invited to the event as a Tier 2 invite, being seeded directly into the quarter finals along with TNC Pro Team, Fnatic and Execration. The higher regard for the squad was questioned by some as Clutch Gamers and Mineski were only seeded into the first round.
More than proving their worth, HappyFeet knocked out WG.Unity, wiped out Fire Dragoon and then rolled over their final opponent - Clutch Gamers for the LAN victory win.

ESL One Hamburg will take place this coming October, 28-29 and it’s the first Major of the season. A total of eight teams will play on the Barclaycard Arena for a share of the hefty one million dollars prize pool and precious qualifier points towards The International 2018.
