The European group stage for the Overwatch Pit Championship has concluded.
The saga of the Overwatch Pit Championship continues. But the first chapter is over, for Europe at least, because the European teams get a break before the playoffs will begin. The top 4 of Group A and Group B have qualified for the Playoffs of this $15,000 tournament. The last round of Group B was played yesterday, where we got to see how the group concluded.
The fact that Misfits won the group with 5 wins to 0 losses is no big shock. But there’s more to be asked of the star-studded team. They played sloppy at times, which is nothing we’re used to seeing from them. The other teams accompanying Misfits to the playoffs are Movistar Riders, which finished at a good score of 4 wins 1 loss. We also get to see good ole’ Dignitas in the playoffs, as well as the fully Danish team of Singularity Ninjas.
Group A was more balanced than Group B, though both provided us with close matches. NiP and eUnited ended up at the same W/L. The other teams making it out are Vivi's Adventure and Laser Kittenz:
At the time of writing this, the matchups of the playoffs have not been officially announced. We will of course give you guys the latest news when there is more to be shared.
