Renegades withdraw from Overwatch Pit Championship, replaced by Tempo Storm

Renegades are the third team to withdraw from the competition.

Two days after Immortals withdrew from the Overwatch Pit Championship - citing the need for "time to rest and refocus" - Renegades has followed suit and will be replaced by Tempo Storm.

Renegades have participated most recently in the Overwatch Carbon Series - in which they placed third - and NGE's Winter Premiere. The team has not commented on why they withdrew from the competition.

Tempo Storm's NA team has some Overwatch veterans on the team - including former compLexity tank Joey "JKW" Wavering and former Spicy Boys DPS player Jonathan "DreamKazper" Sanchez, both of whom have only been with the squad since February 2017. The team participated in the Overwatch Pit Championship Qualifier tournament, but lost to Counter Logic Gaming 0-1. Before that, they took at least third place in the four events prior, all being weekly tournaments.

This is the third team change for the Overwatch Pit tournament, with LDLC being replaced by Team Singularity Ninjas in the Group B, Europe bracket.
