Carbon Series Week 4 Results: LG Evil still on top, Team Liquid and LG Loyal Continue to Struggle

LG Evil keep their win streak alive, but their sister squad is having some trouble keeping up with the rest of the pack.

Week Four of the Overwatch Carbon Series has finally concluded, and LG Evil barely kept their win streak alive. If you missed some of the action, have no fear: we've got you covered with this battle report.

Monday, March 13

Immortals vs Team Liquid

Immortals took this match 3-1, with Liquid only taking Temple of Anubis while Immortals locked down Eichenwalde, Nepal, and Dorado. Grimreality was key to pushing through to the win on Dorado specifically, with a nice hook stopping Shatter2k's Dragon Blade before it could even begin.

LG Evil vs Renegades

LG Evil barely made it out in front, winning against Renegades 3-2 in a very close match. After a very close Reinhardt boop from Jake's Pharah, LG Evil was able to clear Eichenwalde with 2:50 left on the clock in their Overtime attempt.

Tuesday, March 14

LG Loyal vs LG Evil

Easily the most action-packed, nail-biting match of the week, the two Luminosity squads were neck in neck for almost the entire series. Evil, however, seemed to keep their cool while Loyal became overconfident in a few key instances, much to their detriment. Evil comes out on top, 3-2.

Team Liquid vs Complexity

Team Liquid's AZK could not be stopped in this series, leading his team to a 3-0 win against compLexity Gaming. He was able to surgically remove enemy players, including an extremely well-placed Pulse Bomb that took out compLexity's healers and secured their King's Row win.

Renegades vs Immortals

The final match of the night - which was rescheduled from last week due to power outages in Detroit, where the Renegades are based - ended with Immortals falling to Renegades 3-0, thanks in part to some very smart plays by Mangachu.

Wednesday, March 15

Renegades vs Immortals

Immortals had a dominating performance against Renegades, winning decisvely in a 3-0. Grimreality and Agilities were the heroes of the match, cleaning up on a few decisive battles that allowed Immortals to steamroll Renegades.

compLexity Gaming vs LG Loyal

It was a tough match, but compLexity Gaming came out on top in a 3-2 win over LG Loyal. compLexity was narrowly able to avoid a loss, thanks in part to their teamwork in winning major fights and cleaning up when necessary.

Week Five starts next Monday, March 20, at 5:15 PM PST/8:15 PM EST/02:15 AM CET.
