TwoEasy steps down from Bench Boys

Dutch pro player TwoEasy has announced he is stepping down from the roster he founded.

When Overwatch was first playable, in the Closed Beta, a lot of players swarmed to the new game in hopes of finding a stable, growing competitive scene with potential for a successful eSport. Players came from TF2, several MOBAs and also Battlefield. In fact, one of the first organizations seen in Overwatch was fnatic when their Battlefield roster moved on to play Overwatch instead. Most of you will know the history of that team, as we are talking about the players that eventually founded REUNITED.

One of the original members of REUNITED was Eric "TwoEasy" van Hoorn. He played with his longtime teammates in Overwatch for a while, before getting kicked due to team conflicts. TwoEasy then moved on to play for FaZe where he, Shadowburn and the rest of the roster quickly became another top contender, this time in North America.

After a while, FaZe made the decision to replace TwoEasy which most people saw as a mistake. In fact, the team has struggled to reach the same level of play as we got used to when Eric was part of that roster.

So TwoEasy had to start over again, and built up the roster some will know as Bench Boys. He was joined by ex-teammate Winghaven, as well as other experienced players and newcomers. At first glance, Bench Boys has what it takes to at least compete with the top of Europe. But the continuing slump of Europe seems to have taken its toll, as TwoEasy today announced he is not going to be playing for (and managing) the team he formed himself.

As shown, TwoEasy currently values the possible stability of joining an established team over continuing to work on building his own. If there were more opportunities in Europe, maybe he wouldn't have made this decision. As he did, he is now one of the most valuable free agents in Europe.
