We are entering the 3rd week of OGN Apex and getting more group stage matches between Korean powerhouses.
After skipping a day last week due to Lunar New Year, this week OGN's APEX Season 2 will continue with two days of play as usual. There will be 2 matches tomorrow, Kongdoo Uncia vs Afreeca Freecs Blue and Runaway vs Flash Lux, and on Friday we will see MVP Infinity take on Meta Athena and LW Blue face off against LunaticHai.
Tomorrow will be the first time this tournament that we will get to see Kongdoo Uncia and Afreeca Freecs Blue back in action. AF Blue recently signed two new supports, specifically for APEX, and they have a solid opponent in Uncia. On top of that we will see how these teams are going to adapt to the patch that was released recently. Second on the schedule, we will see Runaway and Flash Lux compete for their first time this season as well. This match is from Group D, which means fnatic will eventually play against these teams as well. With their 0-1 start, they must make sure they end above these teams to proceed to the next phase after the round robin stage.
Will we see more Sombra's pop up from the Koreans? Or is their knack for team coordination more suited for full teamfight-focused compositions? We have seen some creative picks show up with the new patch still not settled, though mostly in the West, but the Korean teams (especially the underdogs) will have to figure out the meta along with everybody else.
