Overwatch’s next event is due to be released tomorrow, January 24th. And for people waiting to get a peak of what will come of it, you won’t actually have to wait that long.
Overwatch’s Chinese provider Netease has leaked the trailer for the upcoming event: Year of the Rooster. The video features a sneak peak of a few highlight intros, skins for Mei and Mercy (amongst others) and something that appears to be a new game mode. A few days ago a few other skins were leaked. In that image you could see (what looks like) skins for Winston, Roadhog, Zenyatta and Reinhardt. But if you don’t see your favorite hero included in the leaks, hold your tears for just a little bit. We still haven't seen some of this event's rewards.
As mentioned before, the trailer shows off what looks to be a new game mode. This seems to be something alike a capture the flag mode, which is a popular feature in a lot of other games. If this will be a brawl, or a completely new mode, is unknown at this point. Players have asked for Capture the Flag being a regular gamemode since closed beta, and this might be the way Blizzard tests the potential and balance of such an addition.
