The Alienware Monthly Melee returns today, as always hosted on our Twitch channel by ZP, Hexagrams and friends.
Alienware continues to support the Overwatch scene through its Monthly Melee series, even in 2017. You will once again be able to enjoy two days full of matches, on our Twitch channel. As always, day 1 (today) will be all about the group stage that decides seeding for the day 2 playoffs tomorrow.
Another aspect that is the same is that NA continues to be the focus point for these tournaments. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy a European AMM soon, but until then we are more than satisfied with what North America currently has to offer. With the way the groups have been set up, we can expect a lot of close matches. While FaZe and Luminosity are arguably the favorites of each group, the skill gaps between the teams is especially small this time around.
Even though the teams will not have to play on the PTR patch just yet, we have seen a little wiggle room created in the meta that should allow the teams that put in the required effort to be creative. And with the PTR patch rumoured to make it to live next week, this might very well be the last tournament where Roadhog players will be so extraordinarily valuable.
