DreamHack Austin returns, feat. BYOC Overwatch event, two new locations also added for NA

Coming from the success of last year's event, DreamHack Austin will return this year featuring a BYOC Overwatch event.

Not only that but the popular LAN and esports event will soon include two additional locations in the U.S.

DreamHack is known as the world's largest digital festival and LAN party with over 50,000 visitors and over 23,000 unique devices in the network. Also, all visitors will be able to enjoy the DreamHack festivities with their own computer. DreamHack Summer 2017 is usually open 24/7 with activities constantly running.

Originating in Sweden in 1994, Dreamhack has grown to six different locations with numerous events held every year. The festivities include tournaments in major titles including now Overwatch. Players will also be able to participate in LAN gaming with many like-minded fans. Last year was the first time that Dreamhack expanded outside of Europe with festivals in both the United States and Canada.

Along with Austin, TX, Dreamhack with come to Atlanta, GA and Denver, CO as well. The full schedule for the event can be found here.

This year, the BYOC Overwatch tournament at Austin, open for all guests, will feature a prize pool of $2000! If you are able to attend, gather your friends to prove who is the best whether it's in your gaming circle, on the block, or in your city. Due to the nature of the tournament, we do not expect many complete (semi-)pro teams to show up, so it's a fun way to experience a live event as a player while just having fun.

Last year, the event was held at the Austin Convention Center and was sold out of passes within 24 hours. Players that are interested in signing up for the event can purchase passes here.
