Nanohana swapped into LW Blue ahead of APEX Season 2

Ex-LW Red DPS will join its sister team for the upcoming OGN major, keeping the winning line-up from IEM Gyeonggi.

In December 2016, LW Red were crowned IEM Gyeonggi champions over fellow Korean team Lunatic-Hai but only a fraction of the original Red roster actually competed in the $100,000 invitational. Fusing the best of their sister teams, Luxury Watch kept only Red’s DPS Yeon-Oh “Nanohana” Hwang and subbed in five from LW Blue: Luna, Gambler, Meko, Janus and Saebyeolbe.

This raised questions about what would Luxury Watch do should both of its rosters make it to the main event of OGN APEX Season 2, scheduled to start January 17, and orgs initial plan included locking the five-man transfer around Nanohana under the red color, just like it did prior to winning IEM. With the original LW Red roster ultimately failing in the relegation stage, a much simpler transfer opened for Luxury Watch.

As of last week, Nanohana has officially swapped over to LW Blue to take over the DPS role alongside Jong-Ryeol “Saebyeolbe” Park. At the same time, former Blue DPS Won-Jae “NoName” Lee has transferred over to LW Red, meaning the quarter finalist from the last season will watch his teammates from the bench this time around.

The acquisition of Nanohana’s talents (now known as Fl0w3r) should come in handy ahead of LW Blue’s group stage matches. The IEM champions open Group B tomorrow against Misfits but also have IEM Gyeonggi and APAC Premier silver medalists Lunatic-Hai and the rising Afreeca Red about which to worry.
