Next Generation Esports has partnered up with Blizzard to provide the fans with a North-American spectacle. Over the next few weeks, through open qualifiers as well as group stages, the Winter Premiere will offer tons of eSports content. The Open Qualifiers will feature both pro teams and the ambitious amateur ones, and every day for four days the teams will be playing for direct qualification or points that will decide the final spots.

The event will be casted by NGE's own talent, featuring WavePunk (known for casting Rocket League), nagatron (experience as a pro player and with casting several games) and gecks (originally from the TF2 scene). For more information on them, we gladly direct you to this reddit thread.

When:

  • December 10-13, starting at 5:30 PM PST

Where:

The participating teams can be browsed through here. Especially interesting is what players some teams have signed up. For instance, Kingdom eSports is now fielding ex-NRG players Pookz and Gods, while known teams Selfless and Method have also introduced significant changes.

Some of the top teams that are participating include: NRG, FaZe, compLexity, Team Liquid, Fnatic and Cloud9 as well as Luminosity's new roster.

As a whole, we hope NGE will use this event to set themselves up as another high quality tournament organizer for Overwatch, with a talented line-up for their own. The actual schedule isn't the friendliest for Europe, but we hope to provide you with the VODs as soon as possible!
