Ube enters free agency after parting with LDLC

The Finn is looking for a new team starting today.

Toni “Ube” Häkli will no longer play for the French-based LDLC, the DPS player announced on his own Twitter. This leaves the team a man down and with Rikard “Klanton” Lundberg as the only other dedicated DPS player on the team.

Ube and his team-mates donned the wolf head of LDLC early September when the organization picked up their former team Le Mixx. An active tournament schedule then saw LDLC compete at multiple open and smaller tournaments and qualifiers, their winnings peaking at a second place at the $2,000 The Gauntlet behind Ninjas With Attitude. LDLC were also one of the winners of the recent DreamHack Winter BYOC qualifier together with Mousesports, UnWanted and PENTA but failed to make it out of the groups, finishing third behind grand finalists Misfits and Fnatic.

Although they face losing the talent of Ube, LDLC still holds a stacked roster, making them one of the rising teams in Europe, their line-up featuring stars like tank player Mihail “Mezamorphis” Paunescu and flex player Metehan “Mete” Aksut.
