It's beginning to look a lot like... another Overwatch event?

He knows when you are sleeping… Well, never, if you want to make the most out of the upcoming holiday event in Overwatch.

The holidays are just around the corner, so it would only seem fitting that a new event is about to emerge in Overwatch. Details, however, are limited to a tweet from Overwatch's official twitter; we only know that we're invited for some "holiday cheer" starting on December 13:

If we are right in our guess, that this tweet teases an upcoming new seasonal event, then this will be Overwatch's third one; the previous two being the Summer Games and Halloween Terror events from this past August and October, respectively. Both the Summer Games and the Halloween Terror had their own fun, special game modes.

They also featured some limited-edition loot boxes. In those you could find a bunch of new skins, emotes, voice lines and other cosmetic items fitting the theme of the event.

During the Halloween Terror event, the Hollywood map was decked out in cobwebs, skeletons and pumpkins: Everything to make the map fit the event's theme. The Winter event will likely follow the previous event's example and feature the same type of rewards, and hopefully another game mode.

So what can we expect from this event? Well, inspiration can be drawn from the tweet. There’s hope for a snow-filled King's Row with some snowmen and perhaps a Christmas tree. Or how about a skin: Santa Torbjörn or a snow globe Roadhog? The wish list can be made long, but since everyone’s been nice this year (right?), surely no one will be disappointed on December 13.
