Overwatch player "TaZzeRk" first to reach lvl 1800

TaZzeRk is showing the Overwatch player base the meaning of commitment. Who else wants to get his portrait frame?

Ever wondered who has played Overwatch the most time in the world? At the time of this writing, Overwatch player "TaZzerk" seems to be the first person to have reached level 1800, as shown on his Twitter account shown below.

According to the same post, TaZzerk stated that he has dedicated roughly 16 to 17 hours a day to the game with 1700 hours overall. When asked about how he was able to commit that much time to the game, he stated that he never gets tired of the game. TaZzeRk seems to be the first legit user to reach this level, but accounts linked to Korean PC-bangs might have reached this milestone already due them being shared among all visitors.

TaZzeRk's dedication shows that the progression system that Blizzard initiated was a smart move. With how the system is set, it provides an incentive for the player to continue playing for much larger goals, giving flashier borders the higher the level reached. This way, even if you may never be a Master player, you can still grind your way to fame!

If you're wondering how the game responds after surpassing the level threshold, TaZzerk has you covered with the tweet below.

The progression system has changed several times during development, with the last iteration adding prestige stars right from the initial prestige. Do you think the progression system (and its borders) is perfect right now, or would you like to see changes such as flashier borders starting at lower levels?

Several of our editors have reached the first few prestiges, but nobody is even close to TaZzeRk's record currently. How close are you? Let us know in the comments below!
