The APAC qualifier playoffs begin today/tomorrow featuring the best teams in China battling it out for their share of a $55,000 prize pool and a spot at the APAC Premier. The tournament began on September 8th, with a 32 team qualifier narrowing down to 4 teams for the group stage. Those 4 qualified teams were joined by 12 invites. After battling it out in the group stage, 8 Chinese teams will now move on to the playoffs and 6 will qualify for the biggest Asian Overwatch tournament to date.

The bracket format is a bit unusual, the 4 teams that lose in the quarter finals will be moved into a wild card playoff, from which the two winners will qualify. The winners of the quarter finals will qualify automatically and the rest of the tournament will be played out for seeding and their share of the prize money.
