The newest Overwatch map is called Eichenwalde, and it is now playable on the Public Test Realm (PTR).
If you have been following the world of Overwatch over the course of this last week, you will know that a lot happened during German convention gamescom. Blizzard always has a strong showing at this particular event, the biggest in Europe, and excited many fans for a variety of reasons.
One of those reasons, was the announcement of map number 13 to the game: Eichenwalde.
We already talked about this announcement in previous articles; about the fact that it is another Hybrid map, and that this map has the most verticality out of all Overwatch maps. What we did not, and could not, say before however is the following:
Eichenwalde is now playable on the PTR.
So now if you log out from the actual game servers and log in to the Public Test Realm server, you will not only be able to enjoy the major upcoming balance patch but the new map as well. If you want to intensively test out the new map, then make sure you select the Brawl gamemode as the current brawl guarantees the map to be Eichenwalde: [/redquote2]Have fun storming the castle[/redquote2]
