This weekend's Overwatch Weeklies are sadly cancelled, but we will be back

We will not be hosting the GosuGamers Overwatch Weeklies this upcoming weekend.

Overwatch is very lucky currently, that so many organizations are putting in the time and effort to help the scene grow. From the team sponsors that have invested since the start, to all the tournament organizers that have been providing content time and time again for all fans to watch. Even without official word from Blizzard on their eSports plans, we should be very happy with how the scene is growing.

Over the past weeks, bigger and bigger tournaments have been teased. It started with the ESL Atlantic Showdown announcement a while back, and recently more major organizers such as ELEAGUE have hosted their own Overwatch events. While the scene is growing rapidly, it is still very young meaning most players are not able to play full-time just yet. Because of this, the weekends are naturally highly prioritized as dates used for competitive play. As you all know, we have consistently hosted our own Weeklies during the weekend as well.

Considering the points stated above, we have made the decision to cancel our own Weeklies for this upcoming weekend. We are happy that so many of you tune in every weekend, but want to provide some space for other parties as well. The FACEIT & ELEAGUE guys, for instance, are working hard to provide the best spectator experience that they can and will be back this weekend with more Overwatch Open Qualifiers.

Don't worry, we will be back hosting more amazing events alongside ZP and Hexagrams soon enough. We hope to share our plans in the near future, so stay tuned on our site for that!
