King of the Watch #1 shows top tier NA teams going strong

King of the Watch #1 showcases over three hours of top tier NA Overwatch action.

Do you like Overwatch? Do you like competition? Well AskJoshy has just recently showcased over three hours of the two top teams in NA going head to head in King of the Watch #1. Hubris went home the winner with a cool $120 to share between the six of them, but in reality we all won since these have been some of the highest quality games we've seen to date.

Unfortunately I can't embed the stream, but clicking on Reinhardt's back will take you straight to it.

These games have reinforced what we've been seeing all over the place in competitive Overwatch: teams will make up the meat of their team with the four horsemen of the a-push-calypse themselves. Reinhardt, Lucio, Mercy and Pharah are seen in almost every single team comp whether they're on offense or defense. It makes sense too, Reinhardt shields his allies and acts as a one way brick wall and stunning machine while Lucio keeps everyone topped off and harder to hit, and Mercy and Pharah dish out steroid powered rockets from the sky.

The bit of wiggle room you have with this is mostly supplemented with a second tank and a second offensive hero (usually McCree or Soldier: 76). Very few defensive heroes are shown, mostly due to the highly specialized nature of them, but there was a good variety of Tank and Offensive characters shown. Roadhog specifically was very interesting to see, as he is something of a selfish/offensive tank and not much good for defending allies (which is what most tanks are used for).

If you've already seen these games but are still hurting for more Overwatch action, check out AskJoshy's twitch channel. Don't forget to also check back next week for King of the Watch #2.
