In a very cryptic tweet, Blizzard is initiating what seems like another unveil. "They came from beyond the Moon".
They did it in a cryptic way with Soldier: 76, and then in a more straight forward way with Junkrat and Roadhog, and now Blizzard is again working up to another Overwatch announcement by use of a very mysterious tweet:
We certainly weren't expecting another announcement so soon after the start of the Closed Beta, but we can imagine it is very fun for the Overwatch developers to throw out odd tweets like the one above. The embedded image is full of references, references that may or may not end up being relevant to whatever will come out of this unveil.
For one, the release date for this fake movie is scheduled for Fall 10th. Fall 10th was the date that the Overwatch community said the Closed Beta would start on, and was later recognized by Jeff Kaplan himself. The Goldshire reference in the top left corner is also quite clear, with Goldshire being a human town in the World of Warcraft. Kilrogg-Vision is not the latest technology in 3D video, but is a reference to among other things a WoW spell that summons a floating scout in the form of an eye.
We would like to take this time to speculate on what kind of content will be unveiled soon, probably a new character or map or both, but it is virtually impossible right now to make any educated guesses with a clue as cryptic as this one.
