ESL India Premiership announcment

ESL announce the ESL India Premiership, featuring a 64 Lacs Indian Rupee  ($100,000 USD) prize pool.

ESL announced on its website that their ESL India Premiership will return in 2017, along with three seasons. There will be three tiers of competition, three games played (CS:GO, DOTA 2 and Clash Royale), three seasons for each teir and zero entry fee. Teams will need to go through the Open Cups and the Challenger Leagues to make it to the Master Leagues, where their games will be streamed live on a not-yet-specified "popular live streaming platform." The live finals will be in LAN format.

The tournament will also feature a three-tiered structure: the Starter Cups will be open qualifiers for the Master and Challenger Leagues. Teams that win in the Challenger League will be awarded winnings, while those good enough to make it to the Master League will also get a cut of the $100,000, along with a bonus if they win. Season finals will take place in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi. The tournaments begin on April 26th and continue until December 17th.

More than 9,000 people took place in last year's competition, along with 850,000+ people who tuned in for the livestreams and watched VODS of the event. ESL India Premiership Year 1 had a 42 Lacs ($65,000 USD) prize pool.
