Due to health issues and other concerns, Wynton 'Progducto' Smith will no longer be casting Super Smash Bros. titles in the forseeable future.

Partially responsible through his immensily passionate approach for the revival of competitive Super Smash Brothers, Wynton 'Progducto' Smith announces his retirement from casting. Prog will be ending his career with a bang, having finished casting the E3 Smash Invitational and, most recently, MLG Anaheim 2014.

Prog will finish off his career by casting the upcoming CEO 2014 and EVO 2014 events.  While Prog has stated that he will not be casting, he has made it clear that in some way, he will continue to be a part of the community in some big way, just as he had been after he quit playing competitively.

Smash has been growing at a steady rate, starting with the Smash Documentary and last year's EVO 2013, which broke 100k viewers and topped the charts for viewership of competitive fighting games on a game that was 10 years old.  Progducto believes the smash scene was "built on people stepping up out of desire to do great things."

We at GosuGamers wish Progducto the best of luck and hope for a speedy recovery.  To learn a bit more about Progducto, feel free to check out our extensive interview with him concerning Smash in comparison to other large eSports titles.
