With $50,000 on the line, the aggression from Team Solomid takes no time at all to kick off. Reginald immediately flash gold cards over the brush onto Jintae, taking a first blood with his team following up. Afterwords, they quickly siege the mid turret and manage a kill while assulting it.

TSM's siege strength is beyond anything else seen in the NA scene.

TSM manages a massive lead early on with a turret ahead. They extend their early lead by taking the advantage forward and taking a free dragon. Midway through the game, they already end up having 5 turrets compared to GGU's 2, with an extremely fed Caitlyn completing the holy trinity of AD items.

Afterwords, TSM manages to secure a free baron and continue to push the lead leaving GGU absolutely helpless. TSM manages to easily win game 1, leaving GGU's morale a bit low but not taking them out of the tournament yet.

The early jungle fights would go in favor of Good Game University this game just narrowly, blowing Xpecial's flash and still killing him with the poison passive of Twitch on DontMashMe. GGU wasn't done getting ahead though and several flashes go off, with DontMashMe once again landing a kill on TSM's bottom lane, starting their hyper carry off with a 2-0 score.

After a rather uncoordinated gank top, GGU finds themselves in a pickle near close to risking death. Luckily, Zionspartan was able to get away and base near the enemy tower.

Despite the kill score, TSM remains even in gold from minions and towers.

Afterwords, Twitch and WildTurtle end up as polar opposites. WildTurtle is 0-3 while the hypercarry Twitch is 4-0, allowing 5v5's to go extensively into GGU's favor. TSM went straight for baron while GGU was bottom but it went horrible for TSM. GGU was able to secure a baron and several kills, pulling ahead of TSM 8-0.

DontMashMe gets caught, but GGU still absolutely crushes the teamfight and manages to force TSM to surrender before an inhibitor goes down.

For the first game ever this series, no blood was shed in the forest in game 3. With so much on the line and the series set at 1-1, no one wanted to risk anything and both sides played it safe.

WildTurtle still manages a kill with a Nocturne gank.

Down bottom, Xpecial would be the first to spill blood on the Rift -- many summoner abilities were blown and WIldTurtle still managed to use the brush to juke and establish a kill for himself. Team Solomid, however, does manager a dragon as well as a couple kills.

GGU pulls yet another fight in their favor with a hook into mass AoE, allowing them to grab the dragon. TSM, being ahead in turrets, allows them to still maintain a 2k gold lead. After a series of excellent 5v5 scenarios, TSM pulled extremely far ahead, systematically ripping up inhibitor by inhibitor, eventually taking the win.

It's hook city in game 3 and Xpecial grabs the first hook of the game on DontMashMe in a heartstomping moment. DontMashMe patiently escapes without blowing any summoners, a commendable feat. With a 2v2 bout on the top lane, GGU ended up getting the better part of the bargain by taking first blood in the engagement.

Another gank would allow GGU to secure a 2nd kill, allowing them to pressure the turret freeely. It would happen yet again, but with an excellent flash grab, Xpecial would land a kill and TSM would also be able to even things up after a dragon and two kills.

TSM evens themselves up after a dragon and some fine engagements.

A huge turnaround would happen with NintendudeX getting cut off and a 4 for 0 trade going in their favor with all of GGU caught in an Equalizer. After TSM win many successful teamfights, GGU picks one of their own without TSM's expectation, allowing them to take middle inhibitor turret and catch up on the gold lead.

GGU pulls out a cheeky baron and grabs 2 kills, risking everything but allowing them to pull ahead and take the baron buff.Eventually, with the assistance of Kha'Zix resets, against all odds GGU manages to pull this into a game 5.

From Zero to hero, GGU finds themselves coming up from nobodies to facing up against the statistically strongest team in North America on a game 5 for $50,000. Daydreamin is forced to blow his flash early, but manages to stay alive. TSM's bottom lane finds themselves denied early on. Deja Vu commences with GGU grabbing first blood, shoving bot lane, blowing a flash and pressuring bottom turret.

Following up, another excellent grab brings Xpecial into the team and grabbing a hook. GGU would attempt to bait a baron and get an excellent pull on Reginald, but it went sour as TSM picked up a few kills and smite stole baron.

TSM pressing the advantage after a favorable fight.

TSM's wake up call beckons them and they begin playing brilliant and safely, avoiding Blitzcrank hooks and split pushing effectively while still utilizing summoners to effectively engage in favorable positions.

TSM manages to synergize their AoE almost perfectly to continuously rip GGU to shred, After taking a baron, TSM Sweeps the game and are the North American Champions!
