BeyondTheSummit World Tour Announced - With Dota2 Store Tickets
Featuring 14 of the competing teams at this year's International, with back-up team Mousesports and World Elite the tournament promises to whet your appetite before the real deal at the end of August.
With Valve's big LAN approaching quickly, teams were looking for opportunities to compete with prospective opponents from the other continents and practice in a competitive setting to warm up for the main event. Four European, one Australian, two United States, six Chinese and three South East Asian Teams, will make this tournament the most diverse competition to date.
The resulting "World Tour" fits teams into four groups of four where they will compete in a round-robin format with best-of-three matches for each match-up as follows:
|BTS World Tour Groups|
|Group A||Group B|
|Group C||Group D|
Following the group stage, the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the 8 team single-elimination playoff bracket where they will brawl it out to be the last team standing and walk away with the $1,000USD Prize.
The tournament commences on July 16th and will run for roughly a month. BeyondTheSummit are currently working with DotaCommentaries to create a official tournament page hosted by DotaCommentaries which will display the schedule, VOD'S and live streams.
