Blast's zerg Łukasz "Tefel" Czarnecki qualified for the grand finals of the Global Gaming Alliance tournament after yesterday's GGA Cup Qualifier #6. The Polish player finished second after TSL_Revival but as the Korean had already qualified through GGA Cup #1, the grand final spot went to Tefel.
Tefel is the second foreigner to win a grand final spot via the GGA Cup qualifiers. The Polish defeated ViPro and Ourk in the rounds of 8 and 4, respectively, before meeting the GGA Cup #1 champion Revival.
The series ended up being a 2-1 win for Revival but the Korean was already qualified for the grand finals and the seed went to Tefel, similarly to the scenario in GGA Cup #5 when TSL_HyuN came out with a repeat championship and thus passed the spot to ESCDaisy.
Thus far, Team SCV Life has won five of the six GGA Cup qualifiers with only Giantt managing to step in their way to win GGA Cup #4.
