DTS takes a fall following roster instability
Caught in the midst of a shuffle between Darer and legendary Ukrainian powerhouse DTS (see), the decision to disband the latter was finally announced this afternoon, thereby silencing all speculations of a reformed DTS. It looks like remaining players Andrei 'Allwayswannafly' Bondarenko and Maksim 'Jackal' Doroschenok will not return under the DTS tag.
With the departure of Artur "Go[blin]" Kostenko, Andrei "Mag" Chipenko and Gleb "Funn1k" Lipatnikov to Darer, operations at DTS were left at a standstill as they searched for replacements for the lost trio.
Although caught playing with a couple of standins (including CWM) in recent GosuLeague matches, the team failed to respond with a decent and stable roster following the shuffle.
"Our reasoning behind allowing VP in over other teams is this: Virtus.Pro has players from Darers original roster (NS, Dread, Santa) and they started this tournament in Darer. The most logical replacement in our eyes is Viruts.Pro not only because they are a great team and meet the qualifications, but because those players had already participated and we wanted to give them an opportunity to continue."
Sources at PD2 mention that "DTS has no plans to re-make a roster in the near future", leading to a possible speculation that the Ukrainian organisation will bid their last goodbye with this team.
"Hopefully we will see them return some day to perhaps take on their dominance in the European scene once again." But for now, Virtus Pro has been announced as the team to replace DTS in PDL.
Stay tuned for more information.
