Set with a prize pool of 1,000 € ($1,300), the Romanian eSports Championships have included their very own Dota 2 Championship which invites players from Romania and Moldova to participate in its first ever Dota 2 initiative. The competition is set to go live on the 17th of March.

Led by former TeG captain Banaseanu "ppasarel" Cristian, the Dota 2 Championship is part of efforts to develop Dota 2 in Romania and therefore registrations are open to anyone at the two countries (Romania and Moldova). However, a registration fee of 5€ will apply for each player.

The competition will be a two month affair beginning on the 17th of March and last until the Grand Finals which is scheduled to be hosted offline in Forte Constanta on the 25th to 27th of May. Expect cash prizes, hardware and more as the Professional Gamers League ushers in their first Dota 2 event this March.
