GOMTV GSL Round of 32 Day 8 - Report
Both foreigners advance to the Code S Round of 16 after both IdrA and Jinro winning their must-win matches against Ensnare and Check.
After a subpar Code A round of games, seeing Lyn and ButterFlyEffect advance, the GOMTV viewers were witnessing perhaps the best sets of games in this season's Code S.
Lyn successfully took down AngelGirl to advance to Round of 16.
Jonathan "JinrO" Walsh advanced to the Round of 16 after a nailbiting Terran versus Terran that sent many of us back to StarCraft: Brood War. Missile turrets, vikings, siege tanks, marines and even battlecruisers were out on the field. We saw Jinro eventually come out on top of his group after a must-see match on Lost Temple.
JinrO had before that contained IdrA on Jungle Basin. Constantly denying the American's fourth base held Jinro as the ongoing leader of the game. Although IdrA's mutalisks were en masse, they were not enough to break Jinro's front.

The Swede suffered a loss against Check on the game thereafter. After taking some heavy hits in the beginning of the game due to a misplaced wall-in, Jinro was never able to play in the same pace as the former WarCraft 3 professional.
IdrA, who had to climb up from 0-1 after the loss on Jungle Basin, was able to defeat Ensnare on Xel'Naga Caverns with stellar macromanagement. In the end, 17 ultralisks roamed into Ensnare's gold expansion securing victory.
In order to advance, IdrA had to defeat Check in a Zerg mirror on Jungle Basin. And in an entertaining game, with cat-and-mouse play, IdrA's hydralisk roach army could defeat Check's roaches and mutalisks.
