StarsBoba is a name recognized worldwide for their amazing win at ACG 2010 while defending their title as Champions of ACG 2009. GosuGamers managed to grab the opportunity to sit down with StarsBoba's manager for an interview. So without further ado, sink yourself in the words of SB.June91.

Let’s start this interview off with an quick introduction to yourself.
-"Hello everyone! I'm June and i will be turning 20 soon. I am the manager of StarsBoba and I'm very glad to be here today to do this interview."

Once all the five players have a very good understanding of each other in game, I believe they will become even better.
So first off, congratulation to StarsBoba for defending their title as the Asian Championship Games champions two years in a row. So how do you feel about their win and what do you think of their performance this year? Was it better compared to last year?
-"I feel really proud and happy of the team for defending their title. As you can see, there was a change in StarsBoba's roster this year. Hamchoi's and BKV's position were filled by two newer members, Archie and Batteu, who are still very young. However they managed to adjust very quickly to the play style of the team. Once all the five players have a very good understanding of each other in game, I believe they will become even better. Most importantly, to me as their manager, is that the effort that each member put in for training and their games. As long as they try their best, I'm okay with it."

StarsBoba has not been seen much on the international scene prior to their second win at ACG. So how is it that StarsBoba trained for ACG?
-"Well, we trained normally like any other team with a fixed training schedule even though we are unable to travel around and attend LAN events. When we think up of new strategies, we will try it out with other Vietnamese teams."

Who would be willing to pay more than 5000 USD in return for 5000 USD or even less?
Interesting. StarsBoba finally had the opportunity to travel to Shanghai to play at the IEM but pulled out last minute. A lot of fans were dying to see StarsBoba destroy the China teams like they did to Deity at ACG. Perhaps you can shed some light on what happened?
-"Well, the the article on VnB.Garena.com and Gosugamers had summed it all up: 'The skyrocketed prices for everything to survive in Shanghai for 5 days.' (smiles). Who would be willing to pay more than 5000 USD in return for 5000 USD or even less?"

So with the team denied the chance to travel to Shanghai to compete, how was the team feeling?
-"It was definitely a big hit to the team morale. We were really excited to be able to attend and had high expectation for the event. So after we found out that we were unable to attend the event, there was a drop in the team morale and there was a feel of negativity in the team. However it has improved over the past few days and we will be back on top in no time!"

With the format being Best of 1, the results will not be clear as every team gets 50:50 chance.
StarsBoba absolutely destroyed Deity at the ACG, do you think StarsBoba could replicate that kind of play at the IEM?
-"Well, normally we would not want to make prediction before an real match and by real match, I mean on LAN and in a Best of 3 format. Chinese DotA has a lot of amazing teams such as LGD.sGty, EHOME and Nirvana.cn just to name a few. With the format being Best of 1, the results will not be clear as every team gets 50:50 chance."

It was big pity that StarsBoba could not attend IEM. So with the event over, what will the future plans for StarsBoba be?
-"We will be taking part in quite a number of events and tournament. ADC is the first one. Then ESTC, SMM and DotA World Cup, if possible as well as some online tournaments such as MYM PrimeDefending 12, MSI War Hero and perhaps several show-matches? Wow, do you think that is too much for us to handle? "

Well, the more tournaments you take part in, the higher chance of winning one of them at least! Looks like we will be seeing a lot more of StarsBoba in action. So any shout-outs or last words?
-"Big shout out and thanks to our fans who have been supporting for us and I promise we will never stop striving to give you our best performance. So be patient! Last but not least to all those who started blaming after our lost to LgD.sGty, I have some words for you people as well: 'We have lost to LGD.sGty in MYM Prime Defending 12 recently. LGD.sGty played so well that they took both matches. After the games, some of people left their comments on both Vnb.Garena.com and GosuGamers, blaming our player Recca without being aware of his effort he put in game. Recca followed what Soso.On told him and that was how it rolled. I don't see any point blaming my player. Why did LGD.sGty win? Mainly cause they played way better than us and there is no other reason and I believe that can be understood easily. Loda, Maelk and Drayich once said DotA that community need to be more loyal and now, we're facing the unloyal fans. It's pretty frustrating. If we win, they will praise us to the blue sky but if we lose, they will drown us in the mud. How ironical it is!' I will just end off by saying love us more, hate us less! (laughs)."

Thank you for taking time to do this interview. All the best to StarsBoba!
-"My pleasure and thank you for the wishes."
