Wicked.Fivestar: 'I practiced 19 hours per day'

In a interview on the fairly new website of WICKED eSports the wicked players Soccer and FiveStar talk about their career in eSports.

The interview goes deeper into the lives of the two talented Korean players and has some remarkable exposing. One of them was when OhSeong Kwon, FiveStar, was asked about his First contact with the game. Kwon brings up that he was following classes at a Korean Gaming school where he followed classes in eSports.

I started to play Warcraft III at 15 years old, in a Korean school called "Game High School". In the morning, everything is similar to public schools, with academic classes such as mathematics, litterature, and history. In the afternoon, students have to choose the classes they want, with graphic programming or eSports for example. I always choose for Warcraft III.
At least as much remarkable was the amount of hours he spend to practice Warcraft 3. At this same Gaming High School he played a muzzy amount of 19 hours per day.
When I went to school, I practiced 19 hours per day, with only 4 hours sleeping. I woke up at 8 AM, practiced from 9 AM to 2 PM, worked from 2 PM to 4 PM, and then practiced again from 5 PM to 12 PM.

In the interview with DeokMan "Soccer" Yoon the Korean Youngster tells about his time in his former organization wNv, the always active discussion about balance in the game and his thoughts about the current wicked team.

One part of the interview shows Yoon’s vision on the Night Elf race. He doesn’t believe his own race is stronger than any other race but the success of the player is related to himself and not to which race he plays.

I don’t believe that the Night elf race outweighs the other races. Most of strong Night Elves are Koreans. I believe this is because they practiced hard and invented innovative strategies. Before 2007, Undead Race was as powerful. I believe efforts of today's Night elf players made the whole night elf race strong. A number of players give opinions about the balance of War3, I think it really depends on the personal views. If a player tries his best, the balance would become meaningless.

Further in the interview both players go deeper into the Balance issue. The interview of FiveStar is available here and the article with Soccer is located here.
