Daryl "iceiceice" Koh finds a new team to call home a week after he was released from Team Secret.
Team SMG will enter The International 11 regional qualifiers with two new players. To make room for them, SMG benched Ryan "Raging Potato" Qui, but will allow him to look for new opportunities and released Johan "pieliedie" Åström from the contract.
While pieliedie has played with SMG only through the third Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit, Raging Potato has been with the team through the entire year and placed with them top 4 in the first DPC tour regional league and third in the same Tour regional finals. SMG tinkered with their roster through the entire year chasing a top three finish in the SEA first division league, but that didn’t work out and in both Spring and Summer Tours, they’ve placed just sixth.
With no Major appearance this year, and four players rotated in and out, each change deducting points from the little they earned in the Winter Tour, SMG’s last chance at making it to TI11 are the regional qualifiers.
With that in mind, they make a final roster change in hopes that adding a true legend to their ranks will give them the edge in the ruthless battle for just one ticket to Singapore.

SMG’s new roster will make its debut next week at GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Thailand 2022, starting on the 16th of August in Hat Yai at the Central Hatyai.
TI11 regional qualifiers will unfold next month from the 3rd to the 18th of September.
