Cloud9 and Immortals through to main qualifier for PGL Major Kraków 2017

Early this morning the Americas Minor Championship concluded, where Cloud9 were pronounced Champions, securing $30,00 in prize money, as well as a placement at the offline qualifier for the upcoming major. The Americans were up against upper-bracket victors, Immortals, whom they managed to overcome with a 2-1 map score. Upon the conclusion of the grand final, both teams are now locked in to participate at the offline qualifier for the PGL Major Kraków 2017, where they will face twelve other contestants in a bid to secure one of eight available spots at the LAN finals of the Major.

Tengri and Vega Squadron secure placement at main qualifier for PGL Major Kraków 2017

Earlier this week we saw the conclusion of the CIS Minor Championship, where the Kazakhs of Tengri and Russians of Vega Squadron fought in the grand final, with the prior securing the $30,000 pot. The best-of-three series amounted to a 2-1 map score in favour of Tengri, whilst Vega had to settle for second place and $15,000. More importantly, perhaps, is the fact that both teams have cemented their placements at the offline qualifier for the PGL Major Kraków 2017, where they will fight for a spot at the Major tournament, taking place this July.

DreamHack announce qualifiers for Masters: Malmö 2017

The Sweden-based tournament organiser has announced details regarding the qualifiers for their highly anticipated Masters event, once again held in Malmö, Sweden. Open qualifier are available for three regions: Europe, North America and Asia-Oceanic. Upon their conclusion, eight top teams will be admitted to the regional closed qualifiers.  The European qualifier will offer a total of two slots at the LAN finals, whilst the North American and Asian-Oceanic will offer a single slot each. The four top teams from the three regions will then prepare to face twelve formidable opponents in Sweden.

Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro invited to ESL One: New York 2017

The two finalists of last year's edition of ESL One: New York return to the tournament this autumn, with Na'Vi defending the Champions' title, whilst Virtus.pro will aim to get their revenge on the CIS mix and remind the world of their capabilities. Eight teams will face off on September 14th-17th at the Brooklyn Barclays Centre. Details regarding the prize pool amount and remaining participants have yet to be announced.

Participants list confirmed for LAN finals of ECS Season 3

All eight participants of the ECS Season 3 LAN finals have been confirmed, following the conclusion of league play. FaZe Clan, Astralis, Fnatic, G2 Esports, Cloud9, SK Gaming, Team Liquid and OpTic Gaming have been confirmed to participate at the LAN finals of the tournament, once again held at the SSE Arena, Wembley, London. On June 23rd-25th we will see said teams clash in a bid to secure the lion's share of a whopping $660,000 prize pool.
