ESL introduces anti-doping rules

In the wake of North American Kory "Semphis" Friesen admitting to adderall use during the last ESL One, the organization has announced that they will be adding new rules barring the use of drugs during official ESL events with the help of NADA.

The expertise of NADA and WADA will help ESL to produce a PED prevention program that will encompass all players participating in competitions organized, hosted or produced by ESL. This program will help ensure that all players are provided with the information and structural support they need to help them manage the physical and emotional pressure of professional gaming.

The European qualifer event for ESL One Cologne 2015 ended this weekend as well, with the top four teams winning a spot at the major. In group A, Team Kinguin and FlipSid3 Tactics came out on top, while group B saw the newly reshuffled Titan and the brand-new eBettle win their own spots.

S1mple returns to competitive play

The Ukrainian player has been spotted back on a competitive team again after announcing his "retirement" just days prior; this time with a mix team called Evolution alongside two of his old teammates, Vladislav "arch" Svistov and Roman "CyberFocus" Dergach.

After I left FlipSid3, I really wanted to take a break, but then I realised that what I really needed was something new and that I could not just take a break from competitive Counter-Strike. So I decided to build a team I could be happy with, and I am very pleased that I have put together such a lineup. I have played with all of them before, and now we are all together! We will try very hard to become one of the best teams out there. We know it will take some time, but we will work very hard.

Titan and nV swap players

The top two French teams made major roster changes this week as the the rumored swap of EnVy's  Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and Richard "shox" Papillon for Titan's Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire became a reality. Schrub had the following to say about the swap:

Today I am leaving Titan for a new challenge. I am enthusiastic for the future, but at the same time nostalgic of what I leave behind. Even beyond the game, Titan remains one of my best adventures when it comes to people and I am not ready to forget it. I really appreciated these 15 months surrounded by everyone who made this team work, thanking them and wishing them the best of luck in the future!
