The Gaming Paradise qualifier is ready to kick-off

The Gaming Paradise qualifier is all set to start on Wednesday with four teams battling it out for the last spot at $50,000 main event.

The Gaming Paradise is a seven day event at a resort in the coastal city of Portorož, Slovenia. Not only does it features multiple gaming tournaments and events, but it also features beaches, restaurants and other activities from September 6th to the 13th.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event at The Gaming Paradise will feature a total of eight teams fighting for a share of $50,000. The first three teams are already known: Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Solomid were directly invited, while Gplay earned their spot through the first offline qualifier held in Belgrade, Serbia. The last four spots will be filled in with the four more invitees, while the fifth slot is reserved for the last offline qualifier.

The second and also the last qualifier will be held at the main event venue in Portorož. The four teams were directly invited to participate, among which are Team Kinguin, Gamers2, FlipSid3 and ROCK. The format is set to the double-elimination bracket with the best-of-three matches. The grand finals will be played as the best-of-five series.

Originally, the qualifier was scheduled to start on Tuesday 23rd, however due to the weather conditions it was postponed for one day. Here is a full schedule for the qualifier:

Wednesday 24th:
16:00 - Rock vs. Team Kinguin
18:00 - Gamers2 vs. FlipSid3 Tactics
21:00 - Lower Bracket Round 1

Thursday 25th
14:00 - Upper Bracket Final
17:00 - Consolidation Final
20:00 - Grand Final
