SK Gaming announces new roster

SK Gaming acquires fredy122 in top lane, Svenskeren in the jungle, and Jesiz in mid.  Meanwhile, ocelote becomes a substitute for the team.

Following ocelote's announcement on Facebook regarding a big decision that he had to make, many suspected he would be leaving his position as mid laner for SK Gaming.  In addition, Kev1n and hyrqbot's departure for Ninjas in Pyjamas marked the first roster swap for Europe post Season 3 back in September.  That meant either big changes would come to SK Gaming, or one of Europe's oldest League of Legends teams would disband.

Today, SK Gaming announced their new roster just in time for their first appearance at the Red Bull Wings Academy event.  Simon "fredy122" Payne, previously of Against All Authority during the Season 3 Spring Split, will be replacing Kev1n in the top lane.  Another Spring Split veteran, Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen, previously of the Copenhagen Wolves, then Ninjas in Pyjamas—where he was moved to the substitute position in June—joins the new roster of SK Gaming in the jungle.

Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago, SK Gaming's previous mid laner will not be leaving the team entirely.  He has shifted to the role of substitute, likely to devote more time to solo queue and his fanbase as an eSports personality.  Jesse "Jesiz" Le, a rising young star from European solo queue will take his place as the starting mid for SK Gaming.

In a video released by Patrick "Nyph" Funke, the SK Gaming captain and support player, he states that he is confident the new lineup will get them into LCS.  He believes the new roster has high potential, and he is excited to play with them.  This video also includes a short introduction by Svenskeren, the new jungler.
