ESL's Intel Extreme Masters will revisit China in October to hold the second tournament from the sixth season of IEM.
1-5 October are the dates for the Global Challenge Guangzhou. The 12-million capital of Guangdong province will welcome competitors from the three disciplines - StarCraft 2, Counter-Strike 1.6 and League of Legends - at the "Ani-com & Games" to battle for the total prize purse of $93,000, the distribution being $21,000 for SC2, $32,000 for LoL and $40,000 for CS 1.6.
The winners and runner-ups from the three disciplines will be directly awarded place at the IEM World Championship to be held next year. The first stop of IEM VI is at GamesCom Cologne, Germany on August 17-21.
