Some tentative changes to League of Legends’ Ardent Censer item removes its life-drain effect in return for flat on-hit damage.
The effect change for the most sought-after support item in League at the moment would take away a bit of the survivability that players receive when targeted by the item. When a champion who owns the item applies a shield or heal to an ally and grants them the buff, it currently causes auto attacks to drain 25 health on-hit. That number may not seem like much, but when a Tristana or Kog’Maw is laying down shot after shot with their own stats and Ardent Censer’s attack speed buff, the sustain truly adds up.
