NV pull off an upset against IMT; FOX grind out a win against TL (NA LCS W6D3)

Team Dignitas vs. Team SoloMid

Game 1 seems to be the bane of Team SoloMid's life - they almost always have to fight a pitched battle to close out the first match, and their series against Team Dignitas today was no different. Somehow, TSM were able to take a narrow victory over DIG in the first game, then stomp them in the second for the match win.

Hauntzer had an absolutely massive game 2 for TSM, picking up 10 of TSM's 13 kills on Rumble and absolutely slaughtering DIG's members wherever he went. Svenskeren was the biggest hero for TSM though - he managed to steal away a Baron in game 1, giving TSM a second lease on life that eventually led to a victory. Chaser meanwhile looked out of sorts - he died multiple times during tower dives, even when he had Rappel off-cooldown.

Echo Fox vs. Team Liquid

The "Mid-let" magic seems to have worn off for Team Liquid - Piglet was good, but not good enough to help them secure victory over Echo Fox. A close game 2 was the only bright spot for TL, as their losses in games 1 and 3 were all but over by the 20-minute mark.

Piglet doesn't look bad in the midlane by any stretch of the imagination, but it's easy to tell that this isn't his position. He had lackluster performances on Orianna and Vladimir in today's match, but at least managed to put together a fairly decent Syndra showing in game 2. Meanwhile, Froggen wowed with an impeccable pocket Viktor pick, taking a 6/0/6 KDA in game 3 to lock Liquid out of the series.

Immortals vs. Team EnVyUS

It should have been an easy match for Immortals today, but Team EnVy showed that you can never count them out. After a grindy game 1 in which the Immortals always held the lead, NV somehow found a way back into the series - mostly due to IMT's mistakes. Immortals constantly tried to 1-3-1 in game 2 when they didn't have the ability to pull it off, then made a series of mistakes late in game 3 that cost them dearly. NV held strong and took advantage of Immortal's flaws to close out the series.

LirA's arguably one of the best junglers in the NA LCS, and he showed it with his aggressive early game dives onto Immortals. His Graves in game 1 was less-than stellar, but his Elise proved to be quite potent. Interestingly enough, Talon was a champion favored by both Immortals and Team EnVy - Pobelter piloted the Blade's Shadow to a 7/4/5 finish in game 1, while Ninja used his unique roaming potential to great effect in game 2.
