MSF close out a grindy series against VIT; H2K take down upstart GIA in two

Team Vitality vs. Misfits

Methodical play was the hallmark of the series between Vitality and Misfits. Both teams skirted around each other, looking for opportunities only when they felt they could find a concrete advantage. In the end though, it was Misfits who were able to find the picks they needed and secure victory in two long, grindy games

PowerOfEvil hasn't looked his best over the last few weeks, but he definitely stood out today. He picked up a 7/0/9 KDA on roaming midlaners, exerting his influence in other lanes to help make opportunities for the rest of the Misfits. Hans Sama also put up good numbers, proving that Draven is in the meta after all with a solid 4/1/2 KDA.

H2K vs. Giants Gaming

H2K put away Giants Gaming in a mere two games, but it almost didn't go their way. The Giants picked up an early advantage in game 1, forcing H2K to spend time playing catchup and making a good case for a win. However, a pair of picks in the lategame allowed H2K to pick up a Baron and leverage it for a win. Unfortunately for the Giants, their game 2 curse came back in full force, and they dropped the second match as well to hand H2K the win.

Despite being on the losing side, Memento was a force to be reckoned with. His Graves in game 1 almost single-handedly carried the Giants through the early game, picking up four early kills and a drake for his team. Ultimately however, Jankos proved to be the better jungler with a 7/4/7 KDA on Lee Sin in game 1 and a 9/3/9 KDA on Graves in the subsequent match.
