H2k Gaming revealed the addition of Renegades ADC Aleš "Freeze" Kn?žínek on Saturday.

European heavyweight H2k Gaming were left reeling after the departure of their all-star carry, Konstantinos "FORG1VENGRE" Tzortziou. Losing the top-tier ADC left H2k's potential for the summer in question.

It didn't take long for them to find their answer.

The team announced on Facebook that Aleš "Freeze" Kn?žínek had been acquired from LA Renegades, and is set to make his return to the European LCS in the 2016 Summer Split.

Within the team's announcement, Kn?žínek went on record about the transition.

"I'm happy to announce that I will be playing under the banners of H2K. I'm confident that we will qualify for worlds and represent EU well."

For a team looking to make a return trip to the Worlds stage, this is a huge get. While it's hard to live up to the standard set by FORG1VEN, Freeze has shown himself to be a very capable ADC during his time with Renegades, where he posted a 4.1 KDA though his team performed extremely poorly during the majority of the split.

The addition of the aggressive carry should be particularly exciting for versatile support Oskar "VandeR" Bogdan, who is far superior to any of Freeze's lane partners to date and may be able to bring out the best of the already-talented marksman.

For Renegades, a replacement needs to be found quickly. The team found its groove at the end of the split, where they transformed from laughingstock to the hottest team in the LCS with just a few roster changes. The winning formula has now been disrupted, and their future is a little less certain. With a weak market of free agent ADCs, Renegades may need to look to the SoloQ ladder or Challenger ranks for backup.
