Many believed that last week would mark the end of FORG1VEN's professional gaming career until today.
During Week 7 of the European League Championship Series, Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou announced that he had been conscripted by the Greek military service. Many believed, including FORG1VEN himself, that he would have to end his professional career immediately.
#FREEFORG1VEN began to trend with eSports enthusiasts via Twitter, where many showed their support by signing petitions and making others aware of FORG1VEN’s situation.
On March 3rd, however, H2K Gaming happily updated the community by announcing that FORG1VEN was granted a temporary deferment of military service.
We’ll get to see this star European player resume his professional gaming career next week when the EU LCS returns for Week 8.
