Dignitas announces Final Roster

Dignitas look to improve roster and gain a better standing next split with two European challenger team players and Team Impulse’s former Attack Damage Carry.

Dignitas ended their 2015 Summer League Championship Series run in 6th place. With a strong start, going 7-2 in the in the first half of the split, they tapered off in the last half ending with a 10-8 record. Dignitas look to shake things up with a drastically revised roster. Team Dignitas have picked up rookies Lennart “smittyj” Warkus and Thomas “Kirei” Yuen from the European challenger scene for Top lane and Jungle respectively, along with picking up veteran Apollo "Apollo" Price for ADC.

Challengers to LCS

smittyj is coming in hot off of the European challenger scene. His team Gamers2 went 8-2 in the Challenger series. Kirei’s challenger team Denial Esports EU placed 3rd with a solid 6-4 scoring. DIG seems to have faith in them, stating in the reveal article “We believe that they are underrated players who can flourish to top players given the right environment.”

A returning LCS Vet

Finishing out the roster in the ADC position is Apollo. Apollo, once known as Wizfujin, has shown that given the right team he can flourish. On Team Coast he was very lackluster, but then, on Team Impulse shortly after, he was a solid ADC. He plays champions that give utility to the team such as Sivir, along with solid burst champions like Graves. With Graves seeing drastic changes and the ADC position being changed to be more diverse in the new season, an ADC player who picks the same champions game after game might be a bit of a risk. Despite this, he has proven to be a good pick up in the past. Only time will tell if he will be able to adapt.

Conclusion
DIG is looking to shake things up in the new season by taking a chance on two challenger players from a completely different scene.Only time will tell how this gamble pays off in the next season.
