Dignitas started the Summer Split in amazing fashion, but about halfway through hit a pretty big slump. As a step to improve, they are going to attempt a roster shake up in two of their positions.
Dignitas had a very good start to the Summer Split. Although they started off with a 7-2 record, their success quickly diminished. In the last half of the split they picked up only 3 wins, ending 10-8. This outcome led DIG to think about changing their roster in the top lane and Attack Damage Carry positions.
YeongJin "Gamsu" Noh joined DIG in December of 2014 as their top laner along with YongIn "Core JJ" Jo as ADC. Gamsu and Core JJ both came to North America from the Korean scene in which they saw mixed results. Gamsu's team, Alienware Arena, seeing an okay record in, but not advancing to the bracket stage. Core JJ's team, Bigfile Miracle, knocked JinAir Falcons into the loser bracket in qualifier and ultimately ended 0-6 in their Champions group. Both were a gamble that paid off relatively well at first, but the team started to dip in success.
As of now, DIG is currently accepting applications for the ADC and top lane positions. Although Gamsu and Core JJ fill their roles quite well, and aided the team in a bit of a recovery from past splits that looked worse than this year's. DIG believes finding fresh talent is worth pursuing though nothing is finalized yet. The announcement comes right after deciding to sell off their European team to FollowEsports, after qualifying for LCS in just one split. It seems very few members of DIG will be the same come next year.
Applicants must be Master rank with 300+ League Points in any region, have moderate understanding of english. They must also be 17 and able to move into the LA gaming house. All applicants will be reviewed by the new coach, Brokenshard, and the new manager for DIG, Innerflame. Only time will tell how these changes pan out for DIG as a whole.
