Why we need to make time for Worlds

It's been a year since Samsung White took the throne. All the chants and cheers from every corner of the world will be heard once again next week.

All the best teams are fighting for one goal. From the corners of Asia, we have witnessed the monsters like the likes of SKT T1, LGD GamingEdward Gaming, and AHQ. From the heart of Europe, the dominant Fnatic looks to take it all. Across the Americas, the three usual suspects (Counter Logic Gaming, Team Solomid, and Cloud 9) plus the Brazillian underdogs, Pain Gaming, are coming to demonstrate that the West is relevant in the World Championship.

With the hungry teams attending the world's greatest League of Legends event, fans are patiently waiting for the first matches to take place. Meanwhile, Riot Games has released this video to hype the fans up.

If you haven't watched last year's World Championship, I would first like to ask what you have been doing last year and then ask you to watch this music video featuring Imagin Dragons, a fantastic band, promoting the 2014 World Championship event.

Considering how big Riot Games has been making this, I, for one, firmly proclaim that this is worth the watch.

Here are few reasons why you should make time for Worlds:

  1. This is the BIGGEST League of Legends event. If you're a LoL player or fan, you might just want to watch the best players and the best teams demonstrating what normal LoL players cannot provide in any matches.
  2. The prize pool is more than 2 million dollars ($2,000,000), meaning that it's another reason you would like to watch the Chamionship. The prize pool will be a major incentive why the participating teams will give it their all.
  3. It's a conjuncted event between all the major regions. This will mean that your favorite analysts and talents will be featured in the World Championship. Furthermore, your language will probably be provided as LoL is a global eSport.
  4. It will bring together one of the biggest fan art compilation for League of Legends. For fans who are into the fan-art universe of LoL, you will love the cosplays and arts provided at the event. (If you're a cosplayer or an artist, what are you doing? You should be at the event!)
  5. eSports will only grow if you participate in it. If you want the eSports culture expanding, you can do so by simply enjoying the event.

There are infinite reasons why you should be making time for the event. However, one thing is abundantly clear. It will be an amazing event that you will enjoy. If you are looking for a party to watch the events with, hit me up with a twitter or an email and we'll see what we can do.
