Four teams per region are left to compete in the first LCS playoffs for this year. The brawl resumes on April 11th.

After what was a difficult season for them with an underperforming Piglet for most of the time, Team Liquid finally pulled through and 3-0'd Counter Logic Gaming on Saturday. The Horseheads now move to play regular season runner-ups Cloud 9, who beat them twice during the group stage phase.

In the other quarter final, the mid-table fight between Impulse and Gravity advanced the Korean-Chinese-American amalgam further. Impulse are now to face the scariest team in the league, table leaders and IEM World Champion winners Team Solomid on April 12th for a shot at the grand final.

Over in Europe, Gambit Gaming and Copenhagen Wolves were the first eliminated from the playoffs. Gambit took a 3-1 beating by Unicorns of Love who now move on to a spar with the regular season winners from SK Gaming. Down at the other side of the bracket, it was H2K coming out victorious after a dominant 3-0, earning a chance for themselves to take a shot at Fnatic.
